Tooth Coloured Fillings

At UK Dental we utilise safe and aesthetically pleasing tooth coloured restorations and do not use old, unappealing amalgam fillings.

Conventional filling material is comprised of a metallic amalgam alloy, which contains mercury and was found to be hazardous to the integrity of the mouth as well as the environment. It has been found that the amalgam fillings expand and contract to temperature changes within the mouth, which has the potential to cause significant damage to the structure of the tooth.

This is why at UK Dental, we utilise tooth coloured fillings made of a strong and durable composite resin to give your tooth the best possible chance at remaining structurally sound.

Endodontic Therapy

Root canal therapy can help save a tooth that would otherwise need extraction.

At UK Dental we do whatever we can to save your natural teeth, and to do this we utilise root canal therapy to protect a significantly infected or damaged tooth.

Our endodontic (root canal) therapy works to remove the infection of a tooth and also to protect the decontaminated tooth from future infection or bacterial invasion. We remove the infected tissues, which can be made up of the nerve tissues and blood vessels in order to shape, clean and decontaminate the internal structure of your tooth.

Children’s Dentistry

Maintaining oral health from an early age gives your child the best start in life.

A child’s primary (also known as ‘milk’) teeth play an important role in the development of their jaw. By bringing your child to our UK dental practice when their first tooth erupts or by age one, you are setting your child up for a healthy oral future.

Many children can easily form dental fears and phobias, and this is why it is so important your child visits our friendly dental practice at an early age to help us establish positive experiences with your child and ensure they form healthy oral habits later in life.

Emergency Dentistry

At UK Dental we cater for emergency situations.

We understand that accidents happen, and to give our patients peace of mind, we offer an emergency dental service. If you have suffered a dental emergency such as dental trauma, a lost, cracked or severely damaged tooth, don’t hesitate to contact us and we will do the best we can to accommodate your urgent needs.

Do NOT pick it up by the root- this will damage it and make insertion very difficult. Pick it up by the crown and place it in a container of milk. This will help keep the cells active until we can see you.
